The energy-saving retrofit of the calcium chloride four-effect evaporation system has yielded significant results.
The energy‑saving retrofit project for the four‑effect calcium chloride concentration unit at a chemical enterprise in Anhui, designed, manufactured, and constructed by Turbovap, has been operating stably for over one year. Not only has it delivered significant energy savings, but it has also increased the product’s discharge concentration, earning high praise and recognition from the customer.
Due to the original four-effect system design and other factors, the calcium chloride product can achieve only a 35% concentration, resulting in low added value and high downstream processing costs. Moreover, steam consumption is substantial; as steam prices continue to rise, production costs are steadily increasing.

In response to users’ energy‑saving needs, Turbovap conducted an in-depth analysis of the original system design. Without altering or adding any major equipment, it engineered a two‑stage compressor unit, successfully achieving an energy‑efficiency upgrade that increased the calcium chloride product concentration from its previous 35% to over 40%. At the same time, overall energy consumption was reduced by more than 50%, delivering substantial economic benefits and environmental value while enabling customers to recoup their investment within one year.
